RTR, yes some pictures need resizing but I have never had to do that with any of my own pics whether emailing or uploading on here. They upload first time without any problems.

Florence61 method works ok BUT it is much easier to follow if you have first prepped your picture. It must be really small, 100x100 pixels works ok.

Thus find your picture and then load it into a graphics program. I use IrfanView (free ). Using the program resize the picture to approx 100x100 and then save it with a new name. It MUST be in .jpg format.

Now you can load this picture ino My Account and off you go.

The usual reason for failure is that the target image is much too big.

PC = personal computer so yes, laptop is a PC.
To further confuse.... are you using a PC or a MAC?

I'm sure pictures have to be in jpeg format and small.

You could always ask GR if they would change it for you :-S might take a while though :-\

A PC is huge (well mine is/was).
I now have a laptop and can do what I did on the PC.

As I don't know what the heck I'm doing I shall leave it alone for a while, is a Lap Top the same as a PC anyway?

Oh yes Vera, forgot to ask her if it was from a PC or Ipad. I did mine on the PC.

Are you doing it on an iPad? I had a similar problem a good while ago and found that it worked fine on a PC, just not on an iPad.

There is a limit to the size of the photo you can upload, I can’t remember what it is . I have had to save a photo at a lower resolution on my computer in order to get the file size small enough to use on here as an avatar

Done all that more than once and still not on there, oh well I will try again later, thanks all. X.

Make sure you scroll down and save it when you have uploaded

ZZzzz if you go to your account you will see a square that says upload photo.click on find file and then choose a pic from your computer.You may want to find a pic first either from your own pics or find one on google and save it to your pc.

To put a photo / avatar on here but it doesn't work heeeelp please.
