They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

They mingle not with their laughing comrades again;
They sit no more at familiar tables of home;
They have no lot in our labour of the day-time;
They sleep beyond England's foam. <3

Pleas do NOT forget that several other countries pay reverence on the 11the November, and here in Canada it is generally an all day remembrance.

I am just about to start watching on TV the beginning of the ceremony at the Vancouver Cenotaph as it has just turned 10:33 am and the Veterans will begin marching in soon. Public attendance is discouraged this year.

The ceremony at the Cenotaph in Ottawa is just winding up.


I like that poem, but In Flanders Fields, written by John McCrae a Canadian doctor, will always be my favourite.
