Nameless one, OH was as pleased as I was :-P :-D

We still have a boxed set of James Last records which we got just after we married, over fifty years ago.

We held on to them for sentimental reasons and can now listen to them again. :-D

I suspect that she was getting fed up with me bringing home the obligatory bottles of wine which only I drink :-0

I wonder what the reaction of Allan’s O H was when he came back with the record player to clutter up the house when she is busy sorting through the many years of collections prior to selling? ;-)

My apologies, Florence, I missed your post regarding the Blue Masonic Lodges.

There are many different 'Orders' in Freemasonry, but the very first one is the 'Blue Lodge'. This is the Lodge where you take the first three degrees in Freemasonry;
these are the Entered Apprentice (1st Degree), Fellowcraft (2nd Degree) and Master Mason (3rd Degree)

Until you have become a Master Mason you cannot become the Master of a Lodge, nor can you join any other Order.

Within the Blue Lodges you have normal sky-blue Regalia but if you become a member of Grand Lodge either as an active member or as a past member, you wear dark, or Garter Blue, Regalia

Some Jurisdictions such as England also have Provincial Grand Lodges which have oversight of a number of local Lodges and in turn the PG Lodges then come under the control of a Grand Lodge.

I'm not sure of the system in Scotland.

In WA there is only the one Grand Lodge which oversees the work of all the Local Lodges in WA.

I would love to see the pics, if at all possible

Florence, you heard correctly.

The circumstances depend on how deep asleep the child's parents were, and indeed, on how deep asleep the little girl herself was.

The Police did say early in the investigation that neither the girl's parents, nor her biological father, were suspects. That still did not stop the abuse on social media :-(

Allan, due you know what the Blue Masonic Lodge is? My late uncle was in a lodge but it was the highest order, a Blue something or other?

I have pics of him in full regalia

Is there possibly light at the end of the tunnel?

Yesterday I went up to Mandurah for a Masonic Installation as I had promised to take on a minor part of the Ceremony.

After the Installation was over, I stayed on for the meal which followed. This in itself is unusual for me as I normally leave Installations directly after the Ceremony has ended.

However I had had an early start as the meeting was in the morning and Mandurah is about 80 kms from where I live so I was feeling peckish.

Usually there is a raffle at these meals to raise money for Charity, and this was no exception.

I looked at the assembled raffled prizes and noticed that there were enough bottles of assorted alcoholic beverages to bring a lush like myself visions of Nirvana.

THEN I noticed, nestled amongst the bottles, a record player. Well, stuff the booze, I just had to have the player.

Numbers were drawn, the supply of alcohol was reduced considerably until there were only three prizes left.

Then my number was drawn, and the record player was mine :-D :-D

I should explain that the player is only an 'el 'cheapo' probably costing around $20.00 in some places, but I have been after one for quite sometime.

Not bad for a $5.00 investment for a raffle ticket :-D :-D
