Good news for a change that my D in Law,s cancer op went well today. They took everything away that they could. She is on a drip and pain killers. Son will be visiting tomorrow <3 <3

Our Health Centre posted a message on a local site to say that they vaccinated 2600 people with flu jab last Saturday.

I progressed from knitted red wool swimsuit to a shirring elastic one
...... OK unless we went to a sandy beach, when the little elasticated 'pockets' held lots of sand which gradually found it's way to unmentionable areas :-0

I can’t remember what I wore to the beach when I was very young but I have a photo of me striking a pose on the beach, wearing a shirring cossie. I was around 11 so the mid-1950s.

Gawd, I don’t know who I thought I was but thank goodness that trip was very short (I hate the sand and we were in the dunes) as one brother cut his foot badly on a piece of broken glass and we had to go traipsing along to the first aid tent (remember those) before heading straight home.

Gawd knows what I will do in the winter :-(

How is your dead arm Belle? Mine only lasted a day, usually about 3 or 4. A different mix this year. ;-)

I had a shirring elastic cossie when I was a kid. Unfortunately somefink happened and the shirring came undone. It was then big enough for a fully grown woman. :-D :-D
