Just had an email to say my supplier, Igloo Energy, has ceased trading.

Others are Enstroga and Symbio Energy.

I'm sorry to hear this, Brian. Hope you can find another supplier soon, and t not too much more cost.

I've read online that there are a lot of the energy suppliers going belly up.

Sylvia , the system is that the bigger suppliers will take on the customers of the defunct companies. I believe you are free to move to another one if that is your wish.

I think those on fixed contracts are going to have a big shock.

I've been advised by British Gas, who I've been allocated to, not to apply for a new provider until I've been set up with them, as I may not get any monies owing to me from my previous supplier - and I'm owed quite a bit :-|

The Martyn Lewis show last night was interesting. One of the things he pointed out that most of us are in credit because we were just coming out of the low usage summer. The credit Will move to the new provider. He also had some interesting tables showing the new companies and how much one could expect to be paying.
