I’m clearing out my house as I’m moving shortly and have come across an epns mug that is engraved to WO Whapshott from the officers of 17 squadron, I don’t want to throw it out, how I got it I have no idea but I know it’s someone’s family history so would be happy to send it to them if it belongs to them, it’s in a very dirty condition so when I have a chance I will try to clean it

17 Squadron is an RAF squadron.

The majority of pilots would be Officers and WO is an abbreviation for Warrant Officer in the RAF.

IF that is him need birth cert for mothers name but only single girl in guildford in 1901 was mary whatshott born 1866 send a servant with the mills family
still there in 1911
