Here is another bit of racism to take offence at.

There is a excellent Turkish restaurant in Westgate, Chichester, opposite the market.The food is lovely, especially the salads and it is immaculate. So immaculate that I am sure they must stay late, after all the other venues are locked, to make sure it is all clean.

Once the mops have been hung up, I like to imagine the doors opening and the staff floating out, only to glide home through the empty streets sitting cross-legged on their magic carpets.

When they are floating home I wonder if they wave to the rickshaw men waiting outside the Chinese and the mahouts quietly tending their elephants outside the Indian as they wait for the staff to finish off. Not to mention the tuk-tuk drivers outside the Thai.
