IF you using Windows 10 then, as long as Windows Security activated that is sufficient. Been using it a while now. There was quite a discussion about av protection earlier this year

My problem is that I have Windows 10 and am perfectly happy with their safety programme, but for the last week, I've had MacaFee popping in from the side at regular intervals while I'm on the computer.

It tells me that my subscription has run out, I have anywhere from 3 to 5 to 45(!!!!) viruses and MUST renew now or loose my programmes.

Windows 10 security tells me that all is fine, no viruses, no problems.

I do not like MacaFee, I had for the first year I had a computer back in 2003-2004, and then unloaded it.

No matter what I do, it returns, pops in with that annoying noise to tell me it's here 5 or 6 times then stops for about an hour (or less).

grrrrrrrrrrr
