Just had a call about the call blocker I magically appear to have on my phone.
Apparently, this non-existant call blocker needs updating.
When I asked what firm they were from - they couldn't tell me.
They also quoted my old postcode.

Intriguing - a spam call offering to block spam callers! :-S :-S :-S

We've had those calls too in the past.

"We can block all unwanted calls to this number"

"What, like this call ?"

They hang up on me then...........

I really wanted to carry on the call.
I was put through to the supervisor', who asked me for the code I was given by the last operator. It didn't click that she meant postcode (I was doing something else at the time), so after saying I wasn't given a 'code',I just said it was a cr*p scam call, if somewhat ironic, and put the phone down..

We have call blocker on our BT phone BUT ...

I block a number that is a scam, like the robotic voice telling me they have blocked my Barclay Visa card (which I don't have) because of suspicious activity

THEN a week later the same call, but apparently from a different number !!!!

That's the problem, Kentishmaid! :-|

When they phone me on my ancient 'pay as you go' (68p left on it), I know they're using a very old telephone number list. I can also safely press '1' to
1) Hear how my NI number is being compromised
2) Discuss my £799 Amazon 'Prime' membership (I've never used Amazon)
3) Hear about this delivery I'm apparently expecting (not!)

...and many other calls, where you're not sure whether you will be charged :-D

Maggie, that wasn't a scam call. If you had given them a chance they woud have told you.

;-)

:-P :-P :-P :-P :-P to scammers
