It’s a right cacophony when the parakeets, jackdaws and rooks meet in the tree next door ;-) ;-)

There was one in the Swansea area living with the Jackdaws. I think it was a parakeet. It was definitely from the parrot family.
Ring-Necked Parakeets have been seen in Swansea too

Yes, Belle :-D
I meant I had Rhodri not long after I stopped feeding the birds. He probably would have chased them. But he did get the rat. He jumped in the living room window with it alive in his mouth :-0

From Google

Urban legend that Britain's parakeet population flourished after birds escaped from the set of The African Queen 'may be true' An urban myth that Britain's parakeet population rocketed after plucky parrots broke free from the set of The African Queen could turn out to be true

:-D :-D :-D

Von

Von Report 26 Jul 2021 19:45

Can’t remember Belle but there seems to some dispute about where they actually escaped from

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 26 Jul 2021 19:45

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 26 Jul 2021 19:42

I miss feeding the birds :-( Seeing rats running toward the feeder put a stop to it.
But it would not have been good for them when I had Rhodri :-0
