11 English Heritage sites are flying flags printed with surnames in UK.

You can check where they are and whether or not your family name is represented and also the frequency and main concentration of that name.

That's a handy list. I see my maiden name isn't on in the form that we spell it.

My mum's maiden name is mostly in my home town - I'm not surprised ;-) :-D

Thank you for that link, I've had a look and was surprised at how many of the surnames in my tree occur most frequently in Truro. Two surnames were not in the list but have already been submitted for review.

Thank you Gwyn. Unsurprisingly two of my Cornish surnames are still most prevalent in Truro and most of the others are where I’d expect. I was sad to see that Wasdale wasn’t there though and neither were Quiggin or Greenlaw.

My maiden name - (dad's stepfather) originally from Dorset, though step grandfather is from Portsmouth is there - but from Colchester!! :-S
