I was having a row with the bank and coming it a bit when my gob let me down, yet again.

You kind of lose credibility when you tell them you won't bark with Bankleys anymore don't you?

Is it a 'spoonerism'?

I'm on my own, but the laugh did me good, and the tears cleared my eyes!

Maggie, were you on your own? :-D :-D :-D

If not, I bet everyone fell about laughing - they would in our house, and I would join them once I had hung up!

I want to say that is called a malapropism but I know that's the wrong word so I may have to google 'luxtaposing jetters'. (You know what I mean! )

But, perhaps some bright spark knows what it is or has the will to google it before I get round to it.

Had to phone the council.
As I ended the call, I heard myself cheerily saying 'Banks, thigh' :-D :-D :-D
