Has had enough according to an article in the Daily Mail. Her Majesty is doing away with “Never Complain, Never Explain” and has asked the palace officials to answer with what happened when untruths keep appearing in the papers now.

Good for her, if it is accurate reporting.

My thoughts exactly Sylvia. If you cannot get angry and say you’ve had enough at 95 years old then when can you.

Ironic that the report's in the Daily Mail, when it's the Daily Mail that's been quoting 'sources' and people who call themselves 'biographers' constantly!.

'Paper never refuses ink'.

I don't think opinion, veiled as 'fact' is actually 'news', though, is it?

Tawny

Tawny Report 13 Jun 2021 09:41

No opinion veiled as fact is never news. The papers are determined to print something though even if it is drivel.

….. but wasn’t it great to see her tapping her feet to the music! :-D

Tawny

Tawny Report 13 Jun 2021 10:07

It was great to see her enjoying herself :-)

maggiewinchester

maggiewinchester Report 13 Jun 2021 10:17

...and her little quip to the G7 delegates - 'Are you supposed to look as if you are enjoying yourselves?’ :-D :-D :-D :-D

Island

Island Report 13 Jun 2021 10:57

It was lovely to see the Queens human side via the G7 clips. I'm sure she does have a sense of humour within her family but unfortunately she is surrounded by toadies and so called 'experts'.

I thought it lovely to see her in a frock and cardi when that tee was being planted the other day.
Granny Windsor.

Who is to say the palace has not always told the truth to reporters?

If that truth won't sell papers it will be shaped into something that will.

Great to see the Queen out and about again looking happy but I bet she was crying inside because it’s only two months since her beloved husband died but she such a strong lady long may she reign

So close to what would have been Prince Philip's 100th birthday! I think Her Majesty did extremely well to cope with so much in such a short time. I was sad to see the Duke of Kent so unsteady on his feet/legs but I think he had a stroke a few years ago.
