General Chat

The internet/email for me as the phone is no good with my hearing problem. Family also use whats App and we have a group email address to save duplication.Family all spread around but catch up personally when we can.Since my OH died I like to have a meet up/stay with family members to look forward to. Just had a week in Devon with daughter and son in law, but they have left to go home this morning after we all came back here yesterday. House seems very quiet again now. :-( :-( :-(

My daughters and I regularly message - in fact I'm doing this at the moment!
Sister and I call each other every evening, and I call the 'driver' each evening, just to make sure he's okay - but we've been doing this for years.

Elder brother will occasionally call my sister - he lives in the wilds of Somerset, with no landline, no internet, nothing - so he calls when he has a signal.
He's only been trying to get connected for 5 years.

Since the virus, we have got a Whatsapp where extended members of our 'family' post.

What we have missed are our twice yearly gathering of the clans.
We had one last year, and will have one this June.

Well there's gossip and there's ..... gossip.

Women gossip. Men chat. I come from a male dominant household.

I pick up the phone, I email, use facebook..... same as before.

For my family abroad via the internet, for family here phone and internet. Which was the norm for us before the virus anyway. :-D

The same way as usual via the internet. :-D

And not so rescent how do you keep up with family gossip etc although there are not the usual events in which you used to keep up to date with events how do you do it now?
