Hi, I cut my tray of Flapjacks into slices or squares before they go stone cold & remove from tin whilst there is still a bit of warmth / softness to them.

This Is My recipe....
8oz of marg
6oz of Demerara Sugar
2 large TBLSP of Golden Syrup
12 oz of Porridge Oats.

Melt marg, sugar & syrup together in a pan, when well mixed / melted stir in the P Oats.
Line a swiss roll tin with Gr proof paper & press mixture into tin, bake for 20-25 mins at 180c fan oven.
Leave to cool ( not cold) then cut into shapes, then cool more on cake rack,
.
Joan.

I use a recipe where you can halve the sugar and add syrup instead so aren't so crumbly
