Yes quite few in my family have made no will or made any arrangements for their funerals which are very expensive even for a simple one. We have both done our wills and paid for a basic funeral as we didn't want to leave our children any worry over paying for it.
We did ours with Age UK.

A lot of people don't like to talk about death but not talking won't stop it happening.

I received this through the post this morning.

Age Scotland have organised a free will-writing service, in partnership with Solicitors for Older People Scotland, available to anyone over 50 who is resident in Scotland and wants to write or amend a will.

For more information, ring Age Scotland on 0333 323 2400 (Mon - Fri. 9am - 5pm) or use the form on www.age.scot/freewillservice

OH and I both did ours some years ago, but apparently there are about a million people over 50 who haven't got one.
