Morning Joy <3 :-D

I had been with the same dental practice for about 35 years and because I have a certain amount of gum disease they insisted I saw the dentist every six months and the hygienist every 3 months. Then they decided they were going all private and NHS clients had to find somewhere else - which at the time wasn't easy as so many people were looking for a new dentist at the same time.

I'd only been with the one I am registered with now for about 18 months when the lockdown started but in that time they said I was doing really well with my oral hygiene and I only needed to visit every six months. Now it's been nearly 18 months since I've seen anyone and I don't think my teeth or gums are any worse. I think I'll only be going every 12 months from now on.

I have the feeling that the original dental practice was just making money out of me.

Morning Kath. <3 :-D

I have not heard from my dentist since he rang around August last year to check how my teeth were and to tell me that I would not be removed from their books and to simply ring when I wanted my check-up - which I will do in due course.

I had just changed dentists a couple of months before last March's lockdown and, knowing that I had only been having annual check-ups, having graduated from six-monthly to nine-monthly to yearly with my previous dentist because there was, fortunately, rarely anything to do, the new dentist x-rayed my teeth last January.

My optician (who I've been with for more than thirty years) also rang saying pretty much the same thing.

I see no point in visiting either yet and, obviously, neither do they or I would have heard from them. I'd be there like a shot if I had problems though.

Lol , I'm OK. Thank you for your kind thoughts.

Had to have some roots extracted, where teeth had broken, but roots were holding on SO tight it was a bit of a battle, but the dental team were lovely, - caring and patient.

Soup and soft foods for a day or two......

Morning all :-)

Trying to brighten here, but I'm having a quiet day indoors.
Feeling a bit battered after dental work at hospital yesterday.
