Not so far this winter for us...the dog is trying her best to eat it all though.

Good, glad to hear that.

Our snow has all gone now, only a couple of little spots in sheltered locations. That always happens here ...... wait 2 days and it's gone.

I think I've finally got the right mix for gluten-free lactose-free pancakes.

They were really good tonight.

Then I ended up with a very sore back ................... not as hard a day s you had though, Caroline.

Hope you're better tomorrow.

Traditional for us too , lemon and sugar....... and I'm beginning to get back to a "good" recipe, as I've had to transfer to using gluten-free flour and a non-dairy milk. This will be the 3rd year of the gluten-free trials, and I'll find out in a couple of hours whether this year is THE recipe to use.

Luckily OH likes the gluten-free, or at least he doesn't complain.

We take turns in cooking pancakes after I've done the first 2 (1 for him, 1 for me).

I turn the pancakes, he tosses them.

His pancake hasn't hit the ceiling or the floor in 54 years ....... and I dunno how many before that, as they used to make them when he was at school.

None for me today. I forgot to order eggs!

I usually have to make two different batters anyway - one gluten-free (which I am not keen on or I would have just used that for me too) and one ordinary plain flour.

I like the crepe recipe better than our traditional recipe too, Rollo.

I like lemon and sugar on them too - I also like sliced bananas and maple syrup on them.

Ah, well, I'll have to wait for Thursday's delivery. :-(

Traditional for me, topped with lemon juice and just a little sugar.

I like to use a very old frying pan, which is just the right weight for even cooking, but not too heavy to flip the pancake.

aka pancake day
yum yum
OH is ace though her recipe is for crêpes which are lighter than the trad pancake. Usually we have a party ( it is Mardi Gras in New Orleans ) but that is not on this year.
