Thank you Pat and Belle.

One was younger than me. The other was over 90 and always a splendid raconteur. I think everyone liked his company - and being asked there for a meal was a treat as his wife was a smashing cook. A sad time for both families.

Still snowing here !

We live just over the brow of a hill and my grocery delivery driver stopped outside next door this afternoon, got his trolley out and wheeled the crates to ours. Boy, was I pleased because I had visions of him struggling to get his van over the brow if he'd stopped outside ours. Wise man had thought the exact same thing. That few feet makes all the difference. Our views from the back are amazing though. :-D
