We were told that we were not the first to go to the wrong place and that the health centre had had a sign up at one time. Pity it was not still there on Saturday.

Just a little prick, yet again!

Hope the weather doesn't stop any of you from getting your jabs.

What a coincidence. OH got back about Half an hour ago and I have just had my phone call!

Same appointment time as my friend on Friday.

My surgery phoned my landline on 1 Feb and arranged the appt with me through the surgery's computer.

I have to say I was surprised to receive the call as I'm a few years shy of 70 but I'm not complaining :-)

My OH is welded to his phone so he got a text. I'm slightly younger so thought I'd get a call a bit later. then discovered a friend who is even younger got his text. They shouldn't move onto the next little group until they have reached all the others in the previous little group.

I am will be 70 this month- my friend is several months younger.

I don't use a mobile either. It was OH who was called,

I just asked if I could come too.

Hope so.

I am being discriminated against. Just because I have never given the surgery my mobile number. Just because I am not welded to my phone which is normally off. I had my letter a week ago - now someone younger than me without a letter has got a booking.

Very nasty messages on surgery phone ( would put off anyone in a dither about a medical problem) so OH has gone down there with my mobile number. Now I've got to keep it on and charged!!!

Booked in again for 11.20 tomorrow at the same place.

Let us see if we can get it right this time.

It was my fault. There is a big sign for the vaccination station that we drove past without noticing.

I will not complain because there was no time to plan and no precedent for reference.

Our pharmacy is attached to the surgery who have given me a mobile number which I just need to keep trying.

I know of two - one in a small village - where CV vaccinations are being given.

Having read what happened to you, I can tell you that a similar thing happened to one of my old school pals. She and her OH who live in a village turned up at the church hall in a small nearby town where they were told by phone to attend. It was locked and the street was empty. They drove along the main road and found someone to ask. They were directed to an unknown doctor's surgery where they received their jabs.

What a shambles when the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing!

I have found somebody to speak to at last but they can only book us into Pompey because they are not the service who booked us originally.

My surgery has given me a mobile number to call but their mail-box is full.

Serves me right eh?

Nobody there today but I will go tomorrow when I can, at least, apologize.

On the way, we noticed for the first time the sign for the vaccination centre!

No you can't change what happened it's unfortunate, hopefully they are there today and can fit you in. I also hope the doses weren't wasted I hear often they have people they can call up quickly to use any doses left.

I don't know. There i nothing to be gained from apportioning blame anyway..

We have rung the venue this morning and there is only an answer phone at reception so may just go there and see if it is happening today so that we can, at least, apologize for not showing yesterday.

They won't think I am a bigger fool than I already do!

Sadly it seems they were at fault clear instructions would have helped.

They just told us it would be at the particular village.

Their medical centre hosts things like opthalmology and things so we just assumed that that was where we would need to go.

It was actually held in the village centre (a hall complex).

Neither of us even thought about the village centre nobody had mentioned it to us and, being Saturday, there was nobody to ring at the time we went home.

Such a shame that two vaccines have been wasted. I would never have done that deliberately.

Oh that's not good is it, hope you get a new date soon. Did you just miss the address or didn't they communicate properly?

Well,no. We came home and I rang a friend who was out so I spoke to her husband. She rang me back later to explain where it was.

I will have to contact my surgery on Monday.
