Good to see you posting again Sharron. Hope that you had a great birthday without any (unwanted) drama.

I have never thought your posts to be offensive (perhaps i missed them lol).
Just give your point of view," without fear or favour"

I sometimes get a little tetchy when Roll gieves his point of view or airs his considerable knowledge. But have now perfected the art of shrugging my shoulders. (does wonders for a stiff neck)

Take care of yourself.

Far too much so for my own good!

I don't mind being rr'd then and try to apologize once I realize what I have said then but don't like it much when I am making the effort to try to be inoffensive. Then it's a waste of bloody effort!

Well whatever happened just glad to see you back Sharon.

You have always been upfront and don't give a toss about anybody :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P

To be honest, that post probably did warrant an rr, I was being a bit spiteful and I could have worded it more kindly.

However the point I was trying to make was that I was quite pleased to be standing apart when everybody rounded on Rollo.

It is fine to state your point or dissatisfaction at a post or even better, to properly argue the point but, once the opening post has been rr'd and it is not possible to remove it, I think it might be bullying to turn on the poster.

Given the time it takes for anyone to check the reported posts this is a bit of a worry.

Yes Sylvia I think it was Estelle who confirmed that because it is a public board, non members can read but not comment, however, they can RR posts they find 'offensive'. Which would be fine if the boards were monitored properly and posts restored that had been RRd for mischievous reasons.

Sharron, I don't know what's going on because I don't really understand the procedures you all mention but if there's someone who's on here who has a problem with you and is too cowardly to "tell you to your face" so to speak ,they really aren't worthy of your concern and certainly not worth distancing yourself from everyone on here who cares about you. <3

Allan Report 25 Jan 2021 22:45

Sylvia, I remember not so many years ago when being sent to the naughty step was regarded as a badge of honour and those who weren't reported felt left out :-D :-D

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 25 Jan 2021 22:32

Stay strong, Sharron.

I've been sent to the naughty step more times than I can remember, and usually for nothing.

The problem is that it may not be a member who is doing the RR'ing ........... someone once discovered that a non-member can not only read these Boards but also can RR.

I have no idea how that can be done, but it is one thing to remember.

Caroline Report 25 Jan 2021 22:15

Exactly we paid to be on here and we're adults all capable of explaining ourselves face to face so to speak.

Allan Report 25 Jan 2021 20:59

Nice to see you back, Sharron.:-)

Someone had a special welcome for you, the pratt :-|

maggiewinchester

maggiewinchester Report 25 Jan 2021 19:56

But who are 'they' to decide who posts, who stays and who should go?

We all pay money to be here. If anything, THAT is why the admin should get a grip, and perhaps explain why 'someone' has taken a dislike to a post, and also make a note of how many times the same nihilistic clod moans about/reports a post.

As you say, Sharron, RtR is perfectly capable of defending himself.
By deleting your post, they've sort of emasculated him! :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 25 Jan 2021 19:47

Seriously RR'd again! What did you say this time?

we're adults people just discuss whatever bothers you!

Sharron

Sharron Report 25 Jan 2021 19:23

Well, I wouldn't blame RtR if he reported it as it was a bit, no, very much, backhanded but I think he would have been out there giving it large rather than reporting it.

I am wondering if somebody really does want me off the boards.

If they do, they only need to tell me!

nameslessone Report 25 Jan 2021 19:20

OMG!

Sharron don’t let this get you down. You are bigger and better than some. ( that is not a weight reference - can’t be as I don’t know your size)

:-P :-P :-P :-P to the rr’r
