I thought I would be on my own with no festive food but last minute we found that as I was in my daughters bubble I could go to theirs

Had a quiet but lovely family Christmas with my daughter and son-in-law and step grandson Kieran

Son in law picked me up Xmas eve and bought me home today

We are all tier 4 but we made sure we were conforming to the rules

My daughter was so concerned mum would be on her own so it was lovely to be at hers

Thank you

My daughter was so concerned that mum would be on her own but also wanted to make sure we didn’t compromise each other
She works from home but her hubby is a long distance lorry driver so he is vulnerable

He takes all the precautions and is away all week

He is fine and they are too so I was able to have a quiet bubble family Christmas

Glad you had a good few days its what people need.

we are only tier 3 but all we had planned anyway was all the 3 children home plus son in law and grandsons for Christmas day lunch so the reduction to one day celebrations didn't hit us.
Lad is in bubble with girlfriend in Leicester so he came home Christmas morning and goes back tomorrow Zo lives here anyway but didn't like being only one to open presents in morning so waited for Nath to get back and we are childcare bubble for Lis and Ben and boys anyway so not seen anyone wouldn't normally see. Was nice to have a bit of 'normality' and did Zo good as her and boys are so close, they don't come to see grumpdad and granny its aunty zozo. also gave Lis and Ben a break from chasing after them.

Now its back to waiting to see if we move tier at next announcement

Daughter did have concern earlier the previous week when grandson was at college and the lad behind him was tested COVID positive

His class was closed down and she had to collect him

They both had COVID tests and thankfully were negative

Self isolating meant i was able to spend Christmas with them <3
