When we take Christmas cards down we usually put them in a bag and store them in the attic but we can’t find them now, has anyone on here seen them and could tell me where they are please? Before I tear the house apart lol lol.

Are you planning on sending out used cards? ;-)

Lol no definitely not, we keep the previous years cards to know who to send to then chuck them out.

Did you make a list instead of keeping them, by any chance?

I recycle mine

Have the address book and go through it each year to send our cards

Keep an eye too on received and if I haven’t sent that year then quickly put one in the post

No problem this year cos not sending any!

Have put a post on Facebook telling family and friends

But I do have some friends.including my best friend from school in the 50,s who aren’t on Facebook so I have managed to get some cards with my sainsbury shop and will be sending them .will be ringing them too for a chat

Tbh not sending cards is a big relief too ,but maybe I shouldn’t admit that :-(

Some years ago I produced Xmas list addy labels with a Xmas pic on em. Lists amended as and when as folk pop their clogs, get married etc

I have a list like a chart for the next 5 years. I tick when ive sent and cross the tick if i receive one back. If 3 years go by and have not received a card, I delete them unless someone tells me they have moved and not told me!!

Apart from the family special cards, I actually cut them into reasonably sized tags and have a box to keep them in. I rarely have to buy any tags at all.

I use the same system as Florence. List of all names with columns after each name for the next few years (add more columns as the years go by). I put a tick in the column when I write out a card and cross through the tick if I receive one from them.

Only problem these days is if I don't receive a card from someone I'm never sure if they have just stopped sending them (a lot of people have) or being the age we are whether or not they have popped their clogs!
