this is not going to help with your problem but a few years ago, we had a telly on hire, and after a few weeks would switch off, go into standby change channels, and all sorts of weird happenings. of course called out the engineers who insisted there was nothing wrong, took it away, loaned us a different telly, and after a week or two returned it saying its been on test for a fortnight, and no problems....within a week it started playing up again...they reckoned it must be our house wiring...or the socket it was plugged into.......
...

long story short, our neighbours who we had told about this said....didn't you know?
we've got the same telly and it was us shining our remote through your window......!!!

Is it during adverts? Some adverts increase the sound of loud parts and reduce it on quiet parts so the average volume is within acceptable limits.

One possible remedy I have found by googling is

"How do I stop the loud commercials on my TV?
Go to settings and look for volume or loudness control, automatic gain control, audio compression, or audio limiters. These can be adjusted to provide a “more consistent volume level across programs and commercials,” according to the FCC. The FCC relies on viewers to alert them when a commercial is too loud."

I find a similar problem watching stuff on youtube, but in that case the sound after the advert remains loud.

It s totally random and at times comes on extremely loud I wonder if it is outside forces or to much that needs Wi-fi.
