The tinned banana flowers are here but I have not psyched myself up enough to open the tin yet.

Better still, by far, are the three tubes of Tartex veggie pate. I have not seen it for years and i used to love it.

I made some 'fish cakes' which we had for tea.
e anything
They look a bit like mackerel I think, maybe tuna. There is not much flavour to them so I used chopped parsley thyme and onion, some garlic, tomato ketchup, a bit of garlic mayonnaise I had in the fridge , some smoked paprika and the worlds tiniest amount of cayenne pepper.

They actually didn't taste anything like as bad as I thought they might but I could make very similar using beans without the expense of buying banana flowers.

You live and learn and now I know don't I?

I used to buy it from there and then could only get Granovita which is not as much to my taste.
