it gives the wrong impressions that all you have to do is spend a couple of minutes on a computer and you have a large section of your tree done :-S :-S

They should say at the beginning - you can't go to a court to see divorce papers, you can't walk into a house your ancestors used and people don't allow you to access military areas. Where's the it took 3 researchers 500 hrs to put this programme together.

I am on forums where people think they've been suckered into parting with money they could ill afford to spend as they have only managed to go a very short way back because of the way the programme gives the impression of ease.

Sad, Pat <3

I just wish that I had the wherewithal and will to have done it years ago. My Great Aunt would have been over the moon to learn all about her Sea Captain Great Uncles. Not to mention proving our link to Jemima Nicholas.

My mother would have loved to know all about her family. Their time in Persia (she knew only a little) and that her Great Uncle had been a Mayor of Kingston-Upon-thames. And that she had 2 ancestral lines of her surname

DNA painter claimed she was a third cousin, others saying 4th and 5th cousin. If she has Cater DNA she's a 3rd cousin, I feel so sorry for her 75 and wanting to know where she belongs :-(
