I hope by now they have found your brother a quiet room. I suppose a hospice place is not available.

Please make sure his daughter remembers to take care of herself - she is going through a tough time and there is more to come.

So sad for all your family, and such a difficult time for Peter's wife and daughter. I hope a side ward becomes available soon then maybe another family member can be allowed in to relieve his daughter briefly.

Special thoughts for you.

He is holding on

They thought he would pass last night but suddenly at 5am he woke up and was very active

Doctors were surprised he had rallied so much but were it often happens they have a burst and then a big fall back

His daughter is with him still

Her daughter bought a change of clothes and hygiene products in but was only allowed to leave them for collection

Sadly it’s only a matter of time

What is very sad is his wife .who had carers every day, can’t visit because she is too vulnerable to infection

He is still in a main ward but curtained off ,they wanted to put him in a side ward but don’t have one available

It was a nightmare for us, so pleased that your brother can have the contact. Everyone used to have to text OH and then wait for him to check and phone back. Neither phones nor IPad would work. We even bought a fancy new phone for him.

Make the most of the time you have. <3

I am sorry to hear your news. At least he is able to contact his family. My brother in law was in a hospice earlier this year and he couldn’t use his phone in his room. He was too unwell to go out into the communal areas. Luckily my OH spent most of the day with him and would keep popping out into the corridor to check phones.

So sorry to heary your sad news thank god we have got facetime and we can see and talk to our loved ones especially while most of us are not able to see our loved ones
