Well done Sharron, you have done yourself proud.

It all takes so long to do doesn't it. Even if you are determined to give it a go. I tend to get distracted too by all the things I find that I had forgotten I'd got.
Once I even found a lovely fan heater that had never been used. I reckon it had languished under the load of other stuff in the cupboard for years. I couldn't even remember buying it!

Anyway my cupboards are much improved, but I have yet to sort out the dining room table and its surrounds, enough to tackle the pile of jigsaws that i have yet to do that are stacked in one of the wardrobes.

One day it will happen!!! Just have no idea when..

Must be great too to have the bonus of all that lovely food, from all your hard work.

:-) :-) :-)

Sharron, you are a great example to us all! You have found your way back from your dark times with strength and humour and kept us in the loop too. The goodies you find are your reward and your culinary skills inspire us too.

Keep up the good work and remember, we would love to read your book when you write it!

I felt, when I was throwing things away from the freezer, i felt I was throwing away bits of the breakdown.

For a very long time, I just could not face doing anything.Oddly, I discovered very recently that it is called executive dysfunction and is a symptom of major depression. OH did his best but he grew up in squalor as well.

It does feel good to start healing.

I was a big fan of 'Bewitched', and still can't understand why, when I sit here thinking very hard about something I need to do, that that 'something' doesn't get done! :-( :-(

I have mad moments when I feel the need to sort the food cupboards but they never seem to last long enough for me to get to the junk cupboards where all the 'useful one day' stuff goes.
I did have a thought during lockdown that I could change my craft room around and get rid of stuff no longer needed but it turned out to be only a thought. :-D ;-)

Must say you seem to be doing well with your sorting.

Well, the cupboard under the stairs took me ten months to sort out, I did the freezers in two days and now I am on to one of the kitchen cupboards. I must be getting better at last.

This cupboard is being tackled a bit at a time but it is all going back in a logical fashion so it might stay tidy for a day or two.

I found about a quarter of a jar of cherry plum jam that Fred had picked. It had crystalized but not gone winey so we had a steamed jam sponge with that last night. There is one current jar of Marmite which will be kept for toast and sandwiches but those other three part jars of yeast extract have all been put into one jar for gravy and stuff.

Best of all were some lovely finds in the back, a jar of my mango chutney which had developed beautifully, some chutney that had aged well and, best of all, a jar of Dundee marmalade of very indeterminate age, I think it was one of my first attempts, which is still very edible.

Also, we are very well off for mustard.

We shall dine royally for another few days!
