(HHARP) have you ever logged on to this site. Hospital admissions/children, a lot have case notes....very sad reading :-( :-(

Tragic but that's how it was, just be glad we had the NHS and lots of rules bought in to protect people

I found it years ago trying to get info on ancestor Von....think they now include Glasgow records..not sure but it brings a bell....it is convalescence homes As well as hospital records.

I did find one record for a London hospital where they had children suffering from polio :-(

That was an illness well into the 60’s Von. I had 2 children in my class in Primary with leg braces :-( :-(

Pat....they closed them all down...I worked in several NHS run small units..who used to take people recovering from hip ops,or had social circumstances stopping them going home....in three around here I think they lost 130beds :-( :-(

My cousin had polio but got away with a slight weakness in one leg, she took up golf to help her exercise it - she still plays and the leg is fine.

They were admitted from all over Pat....to the London based hospital :-)
