Hi Emma, Ann and Jem. <3 :-D

Not planning on doing much this arvo - may finalise my Waitrose order.

Not tried Sainsburys after online difficulties yesterday but I managed to get a delivery spot at Asda - which grates because they still charge for delivery.

What is everyone doing regarding groceries? I am still having a grocery delivery fortnightly.

Hi Von <3 Joy <3 Pat <3

I had my last Tesco Online priority delivery just before England's Shield Lifting.
I have been to Morrisons a few times. It's not that bad. And we've got a very low incidence of Covid here thankfully

I think I shall carry on having groceries delivered, Jem. It is so much easier.

I used to do it through Iceland in the 90s, sending the order at lunchtime from work. At that time, it was the only firm that delivered in this area.

I have ordered from them three times since lockdown - and was much surprised that my 1990s password was still valid. :-D

Hello from near The Channel coast.
Still desperate for rain here. Sunday we had very light drizzle, but it soon stopped after a short time and wasn't enough to leave even a puddle in the bottom of the garden birdbath.
Other parts of the county have had torrential rain, but it seems to miss us each time.

A few spots earlier today, but it hasn't come to anything and soon stopped.

Joy
I’m alternating between Sainsbury’s and Waitrose. Sainsbury’s have been the best at providing slots.

As far as I understand it Sainsbury’s charge for delivery unless you spend over £100

Waitrose don’t charge but you have to spend £60

We have also used the Co-op as they deliver in 2 hrs. I think you can have up to 20items min spend £15. Handy if you only run out of a few things.

We mainly run out of bread and milk. Bread is sorted as OH does that. The milk I’m working on- not sure where to keep a cow ;-) ;-) ;-)
Seriously we keep long life as back up <3

Hello Gwyn :-D <3

You’ll have to do a rain dance ;-)

PatinCyprus

PatinCyprus Report 19 Aug 2020 13:57

Gwyn there is a rain dance that always works.

Put 2 sets of sticks in the grass 22 yards apart, get 13 men in white clothes to stand around, 2 carrying thick sticks.. You also need 2 men in white coats and a ball. Always works. ;-)

Lol.

We'd struggle to get sticks into the ground. It's so baked that there are huge cracks in the grass/ now straw everywhere.
I poked a stick down one in the back garden, at the weekend. It disappeared to a depth of about a foot (old measure)
