If you can't sleep, because of the heat, maybe watching the night sky will interest you.

We are planning to go somewhere dark tomorrow night to watch them . If weather permits of course. Brecon Beacons is an option :-)

WOW!

WELL WE WERE ON OUR WAY TO WATCH THE PERSEID METEORITES last night.... .... but first we were "treated" to an AMAZING LIGHT-SHOW!:-D

The lightning was spectacular from our front steps and I took loads of videos.
Then as the skies cleared we ended up at 12.30am up on a hill in the countryside where we got to see THE PERSEIDS AND LIGHTNING AT THE SAME TIME!:-0 :-D

When the skies clouded over again we headed for the beach of the Towy Estuary village where I grew up. By then it was 1.30am and the lightning continued coming from every direction! But eerily quiet with no thunder at all by this time.

We felt a bit naughty being there at that time in the morning but it was fun :-D
The tide was coming in and the waves lapping the boats and the shore was lovely!

What a great adventure !

It sounds as if you had a lovely time.

I looked out before midnight, but a neighbour had left a bright light on in the garden.... then I fell asleep, so missed out on seeing the show.

No storm here. They keep threatening that we will have one, but so far nothing.

Dear All

Hello

Hope you are all keeping well and safe.

Here in the London, all we have at present is humid air and grey skies.

Dear Jem, what a great experience!

Enjoy yourselves when watching the lightning and meteor showers.

But please do take care.

Love Elizabeth, EOS
