Thank you all for your good wishes

You tick over and cope but special anniversaries bring up all sorts memories and events and it’s back into the Past

It’s a bit yes know what was going to happen but almost could I have altered events

My mum was very philosophical and her motto was what’s meant to be will be!

She was a strong believer that our life span was allotted and that was it

Am almost thinking she may have been right :-) :-|

A special day for you Shirley, memories and emotions will have been strong but the fact that your Michael has been remembered by so many who cared for you both and still care for you must have warmed your heart.

Hold on to that warmth and maybe do as suggested, scribble down the stories and feelings for future generations to share.

Thinking of you

What lovely memories you must have of your years together. OH and I have reached our 50th .
After 58 years you must miss him but I bet he would be so proud of you and the way you cope especially in these awful times.

3rd August 1957 I married my soulmate Michael at the RC church of Our
Lady of Grace charlton south east London

We had a very happy marriage with one daughter two grandchildren and 4 grt grandchildren and three step grt grandkids

Michael was a quiet man who loved classical music and history.
His favourite reads were historical novels

He loved too visiting national trust properties and historical sites on the continent

He was a sickly child so spent a lot of time on his own so could be a bit insular ,but once he opened up to you he was very open and caring

Soooo today we wouid have celebrated our 63rd wedding anniversary but sadly we only got to 58. That was a great achievement anyway

Have had many texts and messages from family remembering him and asking if I am ok

Yes I am although the tears are very close

I miss this man so much but was saying to grandson earlier his passing was blessing for him even though it left us all devastated
