Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 23 Jul 2020 16:20

Stupid I know but I am terrified of not being here anymore especially as I get older

Couldn’t imagine losing my hubby but when he was struggling he seemed to accept he was going .

We would talk when he was able and he would say I couldn’t cope if you weren’t here but you are strong and know how to do things so I know you will be ok

It was a fight when he was ill to get him home which was what he wanted and i thinkas a family we helped him on his last journey

In the meantime I am now conscious of being an old girl and often think how long do I have left

I have a daughter and grandkids and grt grandkids who love me and have been very concerned about Covid and me being safe

But the fright is still there on when and how will I pop my clogs!

Am I being too over thinking and should just enjoy each day

Probably being a bit maudlin and depressed

I often think why am I here and how long before i pop my clogs

I do have family who have been very anxious of my health in the current problems, and who were so supportive with hubby died but they have their own families now to look out for

Thank you Barbara

It’s my family who keep me going that’s for sure

I have great grandkids who are a delight and call me big nan

I did query one time was it because am a bit on the larger size and was told Noooooo it’s because of your place in the family , that’s ok then !

I knew all of them care and worry about nan so it’s lovely to know they genuinely care
:-D

I usually worry about that at about four o'clock in the morning. It's always worse in the dark and not as bad when the day comes.
