Hi does anyone know how long it is before records are updated onto Genes reunited?
I am trying to find a marriage (relatively recently) in 2002 but it does not show

Not many people on here actually use the records on Genes reunited. Try giving the names and area of marriage and someone might find it for you.

Marriages on Findmypast only go up to about 2009 (so the one you are looking for should be on there) but there are no plans to update the records further as far as I'm aware.

Unfortunately the records on GR are now almost never updated.

Why pay for them when there are some sites still free?

or there are better sites?

FindMyPast is the other site owned by the same group as GR, and has all the records you could want. Check the cost of subscription

When I first started doing Fam. History ( a good few years ago now ) my grandson aged about 7 wanted to know what I was doing. I showed him his birth record and he was really thrilled to see it, but then completely floored me by asking me to look up his marriage! I asked him why and he said so that he would know her when he met her and so wouldn't waste time going out with girls he knew he wouldn't marrry!
