No more cooked food for us.

That toaster I paid £7.99 for has broken.

So that would have been 3 slices of toast each.

Sharon I'll raise that starvation level!
Mine went in February :-|

But I DO have a grill :-D

RTR - Sharron could buy a new one, in a local shop, at that price!

Some years ago when I still had one child at home, I happened to pay a visit to one of the large teaching hospitals in our region.

Wanting to take a magazine in for the patient, I visited the hospital shop where I spied a two-slice toaster for £5 - obviously priced for nurses and trainees.

It lasted me years before I had to fork out for another, whereupon I bought a rather swish 4-slice toaster that still works - and so the beggar should!

Do you think I could come round and pop my bread in it, please?

When i moved here Sharron nearly 3 years ago, i had nothing so had to buy all white goods plus kettle and of course a toaster. I went to Argos and bought their value range, kettle, toaster and a few other basic things. All were really cheap.
Today all those things including the toaster are still working fine.
My tel(landline) with large buttons i think was £6.00 and is perfect.

So if you have an Argos near you or look at it online and see how the prices are now..
