As at this time it’s up in the air
They signed up for a one year rental on the basis they would be moving into their own house, now it’s all in limbo

They can’t wait on the offchance so are looking at another house this weekend , more expensive and only 3 beds not 4 and no garage and a semi not detached but it’s built and ready to move into and also is in government scheme

They like the look of the new house but would have preferred the first house

My grandson was living in Kent in a rental for 13 years and the owner decided to sell but even with a reduction for living in the house they couldn’t afford to buy

So grandson was eligible for the government help to buy a scheme on a new build and they looked and liked and paid a deposit on a new build near Doncaster

The house was scheduled to be ready July 2020

Both his daughters were due to move school/college in sept 2019 so they upped and moved into a rental in July 2019

Now with Covid all build was stopped and the new Date was dec 2020

Now the new completion date is May 2021

Butttttt the scheme will stop end dec so they won’t be able to buy the house they have set their hearts on and paid a deposit on

The government are sticking to ending the scheme end dec even though they shut down building works because of Covid

It’s stopping folks from moving on !

My grandson is in a tiss cos he uprooted his family from Kent to the midlands and now is stuck :-0 :-(
