The ISS space station is easy to see even with the naked eye, better with, say a pair of binoculars and brilliant with even a basic astronomical telescope. These are now as cheap as chips on eBay.

There is an app to track the ISS by mobile phone which givs live views of the earth and the inside of the ISS.

I have always followed the space exploration with great enthusiasm right back to the sputnik. I was really pleased to see that the SpaceX mission has so far been successful especially with so much bad news around.

No sign of it here. I wondered whether I'd simply missed it but daughter did not see anything either. She did say, however, that later than we expected she thought she caught a glimpse of what she believed to be the space station.

I shall scrutinise the skies tonight ... :-S

I am watching for it just behind the ISS later on. It is quite a low pass but I saw it quite well last night so hopefully the same tonight. :-)

Is on YouTube.

Is due to take off in about 33 minutes.

About 15 minutes after launch, we should be able to see it in the south-west of English skies.
