I have made sure, now that I am retired, all of my days are bank holidays.

For the first ten years of retirement I did voluntary work and I thought that was all they were getting out of me - now my time is completely my own. OH is still doing voluntary work and enjoys it. :-D

Nooo….. I didn't mean 9-5ers being recognised, I meant why are bank holidays being recognised while every day's a holiday for most.

As a self employed/freelancer bank holidays have never existed. Must be awful for the 9-5 x 5 day weekers but I don't understand why they are being recognised during this long covid 'holiday'.

We can go any old time, Island, and visit several times a year. :-D
