Most uk garden centres get supplied with imported plants from the Netherlands as they supply in mass quanties.

I get my seeds through our allotment catalogue and order in Oct/Nov for the following year so get a good choice of newer products and early deliveries.

My daughter ordered plants from a nursery online.
They were delivered here, as she was at work.

It was a ten minute wait when I ordered seeds on 9th April Got an email on the 17th to say that they were only just despatching orders received on the 5th. Then there's the postal hold ups. I don't know why I left it so late :-0

I've heard of garden centres or perhaps their suppliers dumping unsold plants, which seems crazy as now everyone wants them. There's two or three independents local to me and they're rushed of their feet.

Have you tried to get on to the Sutton's site?

You need to wait for an hour to be allocated a time when you can go on because everybody is doing gardening during lockdown

I was wondering if all those people who have grown plants for garden centres that are closed could offer delivery to individuals to get some return on their crops.
