Wow I never knew there were so many gardeners on here.
Imagine, when all the produce is harvested we could have a mammoth fruit and veg market and a feast to behold.

Well done everyone, we should all be proud of ourselves.

hubby is the veg grower in this family , so far he has started in the greenhouse , toms 2 sorts , cucumbers ,runner and French beans , 2sorts of lettuce, in the garden there are potato's , summer and autumn cabbage. we also have raspberries ,blackberries when in season ,plus rhubarb , the veg garden is 25% smaller than it was last year ,it was getting to much for him to dig over . so he is going to make the lawn bigger ( son mows that for him). iris :-D

Thanks Florence. I have half a yellow one which I deliberately didn't deseed.
Apparently planting a slice of tomato also works - with seeds of course. ;-)

Runner beans, Tomatoes, lettuce, courgette.
Waiting for cucumber, dwarf bean, salad leaves, and rocket seeds. Can't believe I was out of rocket seeds, not worried timewise as they go up like a rocket :-D

Nice to see you back Florence - was it you who grew peppers from fresh produce seeds?

OH has planted carrots, potatoes, green beans, beetroot and a couple of others that I can't recall. We have some lettuce and cucumber in the mini greenhouse. No tomatoes this year as we thought we had seeds but can't find them.
Lavender is doing really well in the front garden again. :-D

We had a bit of rhubarb from the garden the other night.

Unfortunately, OH is doing a bit of gardening which is similar to me doing brain surgery.

The garden is very tidy now. he has pulled out everything he thinks are weed and I expect we will survive without those two rows of raspberries.

I showed him both crowns of rhubarb and told him what they were.Next time I went up the garden, we only had one crown of rhubarb. He said the other was not rhubarb but some sort of flower so he dug it up.

Now, I know it was rhubarb but what really intrigues me is why he thought I would need to lie about bloody rhubarb!

I mainly put this on the garden thread on the hobbies board but:so far OH
has planted so many seeds I can’t remember which they are. One packet of lettuce (which was old seeds from a couple of years ago) didn’t germinate so he planted another new packet. He has also planted some carrots in a tub, tomatoes, Rudbeckia, French marigolds sweet peas, tomatoes and probably others I can’t remember.

T has also planted out his Dahlias and two lots of gladioli and the first lot of Sweet peas.. We managed to get an order of compost, farm manure and grow-bag delivered from local Garden centre which was useful.

I planted wild flower seeds plus some nasturtiums, calendula and anything else which looked as if they would mix well. (we had a lot of unused seed packets in the drawer which we tried to use up.)

Before I went away, I planted potatoes, new pots, peas, green peppers and some marigolds, poppies.
Today I was rewarded as I saw the first shoots of the potatoes and peas sprouting. They are outside as are the peas.

After nearly 3 weeks, I suddenly saw 3 green shoots from the peppers. I had nearly given up on them growing!
My marigolds have grown loads and the red poppies about 3 inches now.

So cant wait until the pots are full of shoots and the flowers blooming.

2 years ago, I got a lovely crop of peas and they were so sweet, I ate them straight from the pods.
So is anyone else planting anything this year, big or small?

Between us all we could get a lovely mixed crop of things.
