Andysmum yes that is what it said for mine as well. I am sure Vera is right and it is office 2010 which I think is the one that we have.

I have just looked at the second of those links and it is very good. The first thing it told me was that my computer is up-to-date; it was checked at 3.51 yesterday!

I have bookmarked it - thankyou, greyghost. :-)

Maybe this will help - beyond my technical (not) know how - as long as you know which version of windows 10 you have

https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/13853/windows-lifecycle-fact-sheet

or this

https://www.lifewire.com/windows-10-end-of-life-4163811

Various others if you google 'Windows 10 end of life'

Ann, are you sure it wasn’t Office 2010 that was coming to the end of its life? I know Microsoft are not supporting it after, I think, April and withdrawing support is sometimes called end of life. You can still use it but will no longer get security updates etc.

We still have Office 2010 but will shortly be getting a new computer anyway so will have something more up to date then.

Not sure what this was about but I had a pop up on my desk top PC that said something about Windows 10 coming to the end of life and running something or other to update it.

Anyone have any idea what that might have been. Is it genuine or hoax?
