Barbara, my partner had both eyes done at different times and it was a nightmare, because he came home and spotted every darned cobweb I had missed lol

His eyesight was much improved.

I hope Joan and Florence are ok

Im still here folks. Just fed up waiting for tel calls from people who promise to phone you back!!

I had tel hosp twice now and no calls back. Really the standard of customer service has gone right down in my estimation not just with hosp calls etc but in general.

Sorry im ranting, just having a non productive week!

All good wishes to you Barbara, hope you get the eye sorted soon

Florence in the hebrides

Good luck with it Barbra, haven't got a problem at the moment but optician is watching in case, same with OH. I have an appointment to see a doctor at our surgery now to have a basal cell carcinoma removed' Had 10-15 done over the past 12 years or so.

Hope Joan and Florence are both OK.

It's nothing to worry about. The anticipation is far worse than the actual procedure.

They put drops in your eye to numb it and after waiting around a bit you are put on a bed, covered up with waterproof sheets and told to keep still while the doctor blasts warm water into your eye. It lasts about 10-15 minutes and is painless.

The procedure varies slightly from place to place, but I think they are all basically the same.

Good luck. :-)
