It's up to the school when to have the days off they are allowed - looks like they are taking it off the long summer holiday.

I used to have 2 days off in October and 3 in February but an extra week in summer to all the other schools in my town :-S

They only get 1 week here in October...2 at Easter..1 week Feb :-)

Teacher said it was very hard as each school decided how to sort out allotted days.

Daughter annoyed with step daughter's school in October as they were the only ones in the area who didn't have 2 weeks at October so could have come out here on first week off cheaply because her 1 week was stupidly expensive.

Same hols for them here...but sometimes she has teacher training days and goes back before the kids...1 or 2 days.

That's good as long as it's same holidays.

Heard a teacher on the radio once - I'm a teacher, my husband is a teacher, one child at primary one in seniors. Our Easter hols.

1 - 2 weeks before Easter going back the Wednesday after Easter.

1- Starts Thursday before Good Friday

2 - Week before and week after Easter
