How can I move Tree from GR to Ancestery

1. export yr GR tree as a gedcom file - it will arrive within one biz day as an email attachment. Gedcom files are text files even though they read as gobble de gook. Make sure the dates are NOT in dd/mm/yy format or Ay will set them as US dates. 7 Feb 1863 is not ambiguous.
Ay sometimes converts place names to US as well - so Boston, Lincs is a better bet than plain Boston.

Graphics, records and notes are not retained when a gedcom file is created.
Ay allows you to have mulitple treewhich can be useful.

Never accept anything on Ay without checking it out and that especially applies to their "suggestions" and transcriptions..
