Good morning peeps. Just want to tell you what happened when I downloaded an updated version of Mozilla Firefox.
I kept getting messages popping up telling me there was a newer version available, but I had ignored these several times until Sun last week.

So I clicked and followed onscreen instruction to download. This was from the official site I might add so wasn't worried in any way
During the download various things came up and I clicked next as you do until it was installed. All good so far.

Later on, my computer was very slow, kept crashing and switching itself off! I did a scan but they was fine.

Then this pop up appeared from Segurazo, an anti virus progrmme I had apparently installed on my comp!

Well I googled this and then realised it was a fake virus doing harm. It was kinda hidden in the Mozilla download and I didn't notice it...my big mistake.

I tried to delete by uninstalling it but said access denied.By now my comp was misbehaving so badly, I was nearly crying with the thought I would have to buy a new comp as this fake thing had corrupted all my files.
After spending several hours googling how to get rid of the file/programme I managed to find something on u tube.
Basically u boot the computer in safe mode, follow various instructions and once you delete to recycle, you then empty the bin and thankfully its gone and computer all back to normal.

So peeps, if any of you see this popping up on your computer, do not install, believe me the reviews said its one of the hardest to get rid of, but so glad someone on u tube guided me through it.
Normally my motto is " if its not broken, don't try to fix it." I should have trusted my instinct I guess but all's wells that ends well.
