wow!

You really are getting hit with a storm!!

We have a real Indian summer .................. sunny, warm-ish days up to ca 10C and cool nights down to 1 or 2C.

It's been like this all week, and we have another couple of days.

Tonight it will be around 4-6C when the Trick or Treaters are around, depending on whether they are in the early gr late group ............ it gets cold very quickly when the sun goes down.

However, Eastern Canada has a big storm blowing through ............... high winds, 30-50 mm of rain. Daughter was going to give her son the choice of going out or not. Some places actually officially postponed Hallowe'en to tomorrow night, eg Montreal and a couple of other towns in Quebec.. Ottawa said they would not postpone Hallowe'en ....... I guess there is enough hot air coming our of Parliament :-D

At least the weather was quite suitable for Halloween what with the wind moaning and the rain lashing down.

At least we weren't bothered by little trick-or-treaters :-|

Personally, I wouldn't have been seen dead out on a night like last night ;-)

Forecast to continue today, with strong winds and a high of 17c

We have a small supply in the garage, probably enough for two or three days if we light the fire in the afternoon, but, not expecting the current low temps, most of our covered supply under the carport, which is separate from the garage and accessible under cover, was transferred to our bulk supply.

Fortunately there was a break in the weather which gave me an opportunity to replenish our internal wood-box :-D :-D

Close to the house ....................... like in the garage, or against the garage wall, with a sheltered walkway :-D

We have, Sylvia, but it still means going out in the bad weather :-(

.......... and if you were a Canadian, you would be sure to have a supply of said firewood close to the house!

Well that may be true in the UK, but here in WA I can safely say that October came in like a lamb and is now going out like a lion.

Just a few days ago Perth had one of its hottest October days for six years. The temp was in the low 30's.

This morning the wind is howling, there is heavy rain and just to put the cherry on top, we've had intermittent thunderstorms.

Todays forecast top temp for Bunbury is only 16c.

Whilst you wouldn't send a dog out on a day like this, I can guarantee that OH will be pushing me out of the door to replenish our supply of firewood :-D :-D
