One of the glories of living alone :-D :-D :-D
See this 'mess'? It's all mine - and the cats.
Even the cat -sitter is 'informed' to leave the supermarket bag in the middle of the lounge, as it's Betty (the cat's) sleeping place.
Betty's current sleeping place is on a rucksack on the floor.

Kathleen, we have a year to catch up with you, and I can't see OH changing the habits of a lifetime in twelve months :-D :-D :-D

ZZzzz when I worked as a Manager for a local government department If I wanted something done I'd talk to the appropriate person and advise them of the outcome that I was looking for. How they achieved that outcome was totally up to them, provided it was within policy and legal requirements. I was too busy doing other things to be bothered with micro-managing ;-)

Allan, I really don’t care how he does these jobs, because I haven’t done them is good enough for me :-D

Allan, your wife sounds just like me.

My answer is that in 50 years hubby should have learned how I like things doing :-D :-D

From the male perspective, I rarely do any of the above things because if I do OH is constantly looking over my shoulder telling me that I'm doing it incorrectly ie not the way that she would do it.

Even when I change the toilet roll I can guarantee that it will be rehung so that the paper faces the other way :-P

:-D :-D :-D

In our house it's everything from the vacuum, shredder, toilet roll when it needs a new one, dishwasher, washer. Other half always says that if I'd asked him he would have done it, or if he sees me starting to do any of these things he will say, "no, leave it to me".

Is it too much for him to do it without me asking, because if I ask once he usually ignores me and if I ask more than once then I'm nagging.

On second thoughts it's just easier to do it myself :-( :-(

AnninGlos that is exactly what I did do with the shredder, he just left in the slot cos it wouldn’t go down, I accidentally tipped it over and left it for him to clear up, a little goes a long way, the couple of bits that did go down after the bin was emptied I mean. ????????

Ah but he is used to you doing it all the time. Try leaving it until it overflows. No I thought not, you couldn't do it could you? :-D

Having emptied the vacuum cleaner bin and paper shredder bin I said it seems I’m the only one in the house that empty’s said things, only to be told that if I had told him they were full he would have done it. :-( there is only two of us now, not rocket science is it!
