We don't like football either, but I don't mind too much if it's pre-scheduled and I can work round it.

What annoys me most is when the BBC changes its programmes at the last minute eg when Wimbledon was on BBC2 and just because Andy Murray was playing it got moved to BBC1. Some programmes got dropped and others moved to BBC2. Our "guide" was never up to date and we missed things and programmes set to record didn't because the timing was wrong!!

Nuff said! :-( :-(

As I said Pat each to his/her own. I have always watched soaps. I do other things at the same time but find the ongoing sagas an easy watch and quite relaxing. However I also do find that they have some 'stories' that may be of use to people undergoing the same problems. I suppose they are addictive in a way although I can cope when away on holiday :-) :-) I suspect there are some people who still listen to the Archers as well. and, although I am talking about Corrie, Emmerdale and E Enders, there are a lot of others I don't watch. I don't watch Doctors, Holby, the Aussie ones, Casualty or the one I can't remember at the moment.

Let’s issue a challenge to those posting on here who doubt the value of freedom of speech.

Such freedom should not be in jeopardy.

I just said as someone who doesn't like soaps there was some of us who had to put up with soaps 52 weeks a year.

Someone who doesn't like freedom of speech to put another side of the story.

I was and always will be someone who believes in free speech. I have an opinion, stated it, I wasn't nasty so I expect to see my post back again.

The hidden button presser strikes again for a few days :-D ;-) It is Friday :-D :-D :-D :-D

And in Scotland we don't get matches on either
ITV or the BBC pertaining to the Scottish team.
OH has to go onto Sky Sports.

By the way OH and myself like watching football.

There's a few people in this area who retain a distant relationship with 'soap' of any kind. :-D

How about us who look what's on and see wall to wall soaps which we have no interest in and it's 52 weeks a year. :-0

I hate football even though we lived just up from Charlton Athletic football club

Even when we married we had to pick a Saturday they weren’t playing at home

Hubby didn’t like it either as a youngster he had health problems so wasn’t allowed to do any physical exercises

He would say it’s bloody football on the tv .why do they think everyone is interested

He would get quite irritated

No Emmerdale or Corrie tonight as ITV think we'd rather see the Football.
