Well, I think I saw it all last night in Sue Perkin's programme on Japan. She met a group of Ama (women of the sea) these were women free divers in their 80s! :-0

Each day they would do at least a couple of sessions of free diving in the chilly seas to gather shell fish from the sea floor to sell at market. This group of Ama were in their 80s and had been doing this, day in day out, since their mid teens...remarkable ladies :-0

Think the saying 'you're as young as you feel' comes to mind :-D

Thank you all. I’ll pass on to Mr Owl. I think I might just have to resort to teasing him about his age as I’m just a youngster at 35 :-D

Happy birthday Mr Owl, long may he stay feeling young. I still get a surprise when I remember my actual age, as you have said, inside my brain I have not changed since I actually was young. (now 79) :-) :-) It is when the body aches and creaks I know different. :-D

My mum was forever 29 if you asked her how old she was

Or the other reply was I,m a little bit older in my head than I am in my teeth

Odd that one cos her teeth spent all their time in a cup of water on the kitchen window sill

Maybe significant though as she had all her teeth out at 29 !

Mr Owl is still young but on Monday he was saying how it’s been 20 years since he left school and yet as far he’s concerned he feels 18. After college, 2 university degrees, 2 wives and 4 children he knows not, but where did the time go? Is that how everyone feels until as my 69 year old father in law says “My body tells me I’m not”? Do people always remain forever young in their minds?
