Funny old day here, cooler, but bright, until the skies blacken and then it pours.

Pity those poor folk in Yorkshire. Must be dreadful. Saw on news a bridge was washed away.

Talking of electrics. Got up this morning, went to fridge, no light. Oh gawd, I thought that blinkin thing hasn't packed up. That's all I need. Listened to the outside of it, the engine was still running. Beloved, fished out a new bulb and put it in, and I was SO pleased. :-D :-D

Came in from the garden to find a river of soap suds flowing across my kitchen :-0 :-0
Threw down a towel as I couldn't find my mop just as OH walked in the door.
Never mind he said the floor probably needed washed ;-) ;-) ;-)

OH says the England team normally do, Pat, so my guess is that he's seen them playing like that for at least one match.

Not much he misses as far as cricket is concerned and he and Gndson 2 are Durham CCC members. ;-)

Many moons ago he played for his work team.

Son used to play for whichever team paid him the most - but in his last two years of school he kept in the good books of his sports teacher and from the age of 16 played in teacher's weekend seniors team. ;-)

His son (Grandson 1 - 16 years old) gets paid to play footy but, alas, shows no interest in cricket whatever son does to try to persuade him. <3 :-D
